The first mobile devices with expansion slots for additional memory hit the market more than ten years ago, but these early models were exceptions rather than the rule. The Nokia 9110 was the first mobile phone with a slot for memory expansion, and in 2002 we saw the first device that supported Memory Stick – the Sony Ericsson P800.
