The inquiry came from a business customer in Balgach who uses the machine in his company. His first sentence was the most important: No standard stuff. No beige box that disappears under the desk. The machine was allowed to have character. It should stand proudly in the room, glow a little in the evening, and make people want to sit next to it. But it still has to perform calculations – locally.
In the workshop
We build this by hand, piece by piece. A white housing with a viewing window, two powerful NVIDIA graphics cards, a large air cooler with two towers, lots of RAM. Every cable lies exactly where it should be, nothing hangs loosely around. The photo shows the assembly in progress: The second graphics card is being installed, everything immersed in the green light of the fans. This is the moment when individual parts become a machine.

Why no standard housing
A server doesn’t have to be invisible. It may have a window, glow, show something off. This one is now at the customer site in Balgach, working next to keyboard and monitor, and casting red light into the room in the evening. That’s not an end in itself. People who like sitting at their device will also use it more frequently. Form and function do not exclude each other; on the contrary: The joy of using the device is part of the work.
What the machine actually delivers
Behind the aesthetics lies a local AI server. It runs language models directly on its own hardware, without detours via external clouds. The data stays in-house, responses are fast, and a small dashboard keeps an eye on resource consumption on the screen. That’s exactly what the two graphics cards are for: they handle the models that would otherwise be computed somewhere on the internet.
In daily business operations, it takes over tasks such as:
- Searching and summarizing contracts, offers, and manuals without data leaving the company.
- Pre-formulate emails and offers as drafts; employees only need to review them.
- Creating clean offer and invoice texts from keywords.
- Evaluate photos, such as type plates, error messages, or delivery notes, and archive the results immediately.
- Answer questions about processes, standards, and workflows as an internal reference.
- Transcribe and summarize meeting and phone notes.
- Assist with programming: write scripts, explain code, find errors.
- Translate texts for customers and suppliers into German, English, or French.
If you want something like that
This is not the first machine of this kind developed here, and each one is a little different. Some want quiet and a simple case, others lightness and presence. Both are possible. If you want your own AI server – local, private, and with character – we will plan and build it for you. Tell us how it should look.
